November Buddhist Activities

November is a busy month for Myosenji Temple members. Here are a few highlights:

Special Tozan

November 20-26, 2013 – a group of Myosenji Temple members will travel to our Head Temple in Japan to participate in the Commemorative Ceremony Celebrating the Completion of the Major Renovation of the Image Hall (Meido)

New Members Meetings

Beginning in November, Rev. Murata will conduct two (2) New Members Meetings a month. Please check the calendar for dates and times.

Mokushi-e Ceremony and Children’s Day on Sunday, Nov 10th

The Mokushi-e Ceremony will be Sunday, November 10th. All Myosenji Hokkeko children aged 12 and under are invited to participate as attending parents join with the priest to pray for the prosperity and happiness of each child.

Introduction to Buddhism Meetings

We are continuing with our Introduction to Buddhism series. There are two Introduction meetings scheduled in November:

Saturday, November 9th at 2:00 p.m.
Topic: What is Buddhism? Brief History

Sunday, November 17th at 11:00 a.m.
Topic: Buddhist Concept of the Ten Worlds
