The Buddha Way: Learn To Hear Your Heart

Sept6 blog

The awakening of faith occurs when one wishes in one’s heart to remove the sufferings of others. (written by Nichiren Daishonin in 13th century Japan)

When one possesses great compassion and the desire to save others, you awaken the determination to pursue the Buddha way. We should not abandon those who are suffering. We must save those who are stuck in unhappy situations.

The Buddhist concept of the Ten Worlds teaches us how to awaken our heart to become compassionate. This Sunday, September 6th, visit Myosenji Temple to hear a lecture by Chief Priest, Rev. Murata, about the Ten Worlds. The meeting begins at 2:00 pm and concludes about 3:15 pm.

If you have decided to become a Buddhist or are interested in learning how to become a Buddhist, after Sunday’s meeting (about 3:30 pm) Rev Murata will be performing the Acceptance of the Precept Ceremony, the ceremony where you become a Buddhist.
