Myosenji Buddhist Temple Oeshiki Ceremony 2013 3

This past Sunday members of Myosenji Temple celebrated the Oeshiki Ceremony which was officiated by our Chief Priest, Rev. Murata. Hundreds of members joined in reciting the Sutra, chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo  and listened to Rev. Murata’s lecture, “Base your heart on the Ninth Consciousness and your practice on the six consciousness.”  Members from all the nine states which comprise Myosenji’s membership were in attendance. It was a great weekend!

This Sunday, October 20th, we will have our next Introduction to Buddhism meeting on the topic of Karma. The meeting begins at 11:00 am and is open to the public.

In the Gosho, Happiness in this World (MW1- p. 161), Nichiren Daishonin states:
“Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life and continue chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, no matter what happens. Then you will experience boundless joy from the Law.”
