Balance, Buddhism and Breakthroughs

Buddhism explains life in terms of cause and effect, that earthly desires are the source of illusions of thought and desire. Earthly desires serve to veil the truth of the principle of non-substantiality (Ku), and cause unenlightened beings in the threefold world of desire to wander through the six paths, or lower worlds of hell, hunger, animality, anger, tranquility and rapture. Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism teaches we must use earthly desires as the power to attain enlightenment and make our world the land of tranquil light.
