Buddhism: Control Your Life

Buddhist Temple

Those who honestly discard the expedient teachings, put faith only in the Lotus Sutra, and chant Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, will transform the three paths of earthly desires, karma, and suffering into the three virtues of the property of the Law, wisdom, and emancipation. The three-fold contemplation and the three truths will immediately manifest in their minds, and the place where they dwell will become the land of eternally tranquil light.

written by Nichiren Daishonin, 13th century Japan

When we sincerely practice Buddhism, we can gain a purified and steady mind; we can develop deep wisdom and compassion; and we can enjoy the condition of being able to control our own lives freely. Then, we can attain Buddhahood in our present form and overcome all of our sufferings.

Learn Buddhism’s Ten Worlds To Control Your Life

Visit our Buddhist Temple this Sunday, July 17th, for a presentation on a core belief in Buddhism – the Ten Worlds. Our Chief Priest will teach you how to properly chant and focus your mind. The meeting starts at 2:00 pm and concludes about 3:15 pm.

If you have decided to become a Buddhist or are interested in learning how to become a Buddhist, after Sunday’s meeting (about 3:30 pm) our Chief Priest will be performing the Acceptance of the Precept Ceremony, the ceremony where you become a Buddhist.
