Atlanta Buddhism Introductory Meeting – KARMA

Myosenji Buddhist Temple will host an Introduction to Buddhism meeting on Saturday, May 30, 2020. The meeting location is the Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown/Emory, 130 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030.

  • Brief lecture by our Chief Priest, Rev Sakabe, on the Buddhist Concept of Karma and how it shapes your daily life.
  • Learn how to chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo and properly use the Juzu Beads, Buddhist prayer beads.
  • Q&A with our Chief Priest.
  • The meeting will begin at 2:00 pm and ends about 3:15 pm. Free, open to the public, no tickets necessary.

If you have decided to become a Buddhist or are interested in learning how to become a Buddhist, Rev Sakabe will be performing the Acceptance of the Precept Ceremony, the ceremony where you become a Buddhist, immediately following the meeting.
